HTN Website: Link to the HTN Knowledge Bot (need to be paid HTN member)
For HTN Slack: use the @HTN-Knowledge-Bot in slack and it will respond in a thread.
What is the HTN Knowledge Bot?
It is essentially ChatGPT applied only to HTN “data”. The “data” here mean HTN Slack and the published content on our website. The primary function on the HTN Knowledge Bot is to serve as a smarter search function for all that happens in HTN. When you ask the HTN Knowledge Bot a question, it searches for relevant information in the HTN Slack community and articles. It will then do its best to provide you with a conversational answer to your question. Our plan is to continue iterating and adding to it over time.
Why did you build the HTN Knowledge Bot?
We invested in the HTN Knowledge Bot for 3 primary reasons:
- First and foremost, you all have asked for it in a variety of ways.
- There is a lot of valuable information and perspective in HTN and we wanted to make it easier for HTNers to access and synthesize that info across the HTN products.
- We have members who are more limited in their ability to spend time in Slack so we wanted to help with access to that information and guide them to the most relevant conversations/articles to participate in.
What is it NOT?
The HTN Knowledge Bot will not search the entire internet as ChatGPT or Bard do. It is solely focused on the conversations and articles that live within HTN. Similar to ChatGPT and Bard, it should be taken with a grain of salt in that it is pulling from information that is, as you know being in HTN, opinion and perspective based. The same caveat the ChatGPT uses applies here. The HTN Knowledge Bot “may produce inaccurate information about people, places, or facts.”
What do I need to know about when using it? Tips & Limitations?
- Usage Tips:
- Questions will be more successful than "instructions". For example, "What is Human API?" will perform better than "Find me relevant posts about Human API."
- You'll get the best results with questions like "What is ___?" or "What are some companies that ___?". Meta-data questions about the community or articles like "Who posts a lot about ___?" or "What's the latest news?" won't work as well. Other examples:
- What are STAR Ratings?
- What conversations are some conversations in slack related to STAR ratings?
- What are HIPAA compliant CRMs and what conversations are there in Slack about them?
- What are some resources for selling to employers?
- Limitations:
- HTN-Bot has some information about dates, but is still learning how to use them. Your mileage may vary when attempting to use keywords like "recent".
- Answers from this version of HTN-Bot are more likely to be "accurate" than "complete". The search algorithm it uses prioritizes finding the most relevant info but not all info.
